"This was my first purchase from JTV and I am very pleased with the stone. It is 3/4 purple and 1/4 yellow. The colors are not as vivid as I would have liked, but for the price and buying it sight unseen it was well worth the money I paid for it. The size was really huge and I will probably have it set in 14K for a ring."

"I purchased this beautiful stone durng the inventory reduction sale to have it made into a ring eventually. I have earrings and a pendant of them, (one I received in a mixed, faceted gem parcel) and have wanted a ring for a long time. When I saw they had been marked down, I decided to order it and hold onto it to make a ring when I decide on a mounting. I love the stone. It is beautiful in color, and the divide between the Amethyst and Citrine is about the same as my earrings and pendant, so it is going to be an excellent match. The picture shown of it does not do it justice at all. It is not grayish, as it seems in the pic, but a vibrant Citrine yellow on one end and that beautiful Amethyst purple on the other. I am very pleased with this stone, and it is going to make a big, beautiful ring. The stone weighed out to be 7.05ct. All of these Bolivan Ametrines that I have purchased have been huge for their marketed size, and I had to go up a size on the castings to get them mounted, they were so deeply cut. These are beautiful stones, but they are generous for their marketed size, so be prepared to use a larger mounting than it's stated size."

"Don't let the picture fool you! I ordered 2 of these. The stones were perfect mirror images of each other; 70/30 in color. However the colors are very deep and rich, and the divisions were perfectly delineated and not wavy as the photo suggests.
I actually ordered a ring from a competitor network just to compare the quality of the stones, and I returned the ring because the stone was so pale you couldn't even see the purple color of the amethyst!
I've been a big fan of ametrine for a long time, and these stones are wonderful!"
