"I just received 2 of these stones. I thought I had ordered trilliants, but, on well. These stones look very much like the finer colors of Maylaya garnet -- which is much more expensive in colors like this. It's an amazing value. I ordered 2 smaller stones before, and liked them so much I decided to try more. I would love to see a big round, and maybe I'll order one before they're all gone. I would recommend this stone to anyone who loves peachy/golden tones. It really is close to an imperial topaz. It isn't really orange -- much softer. By the way, I can't review the 2.50 carat deep red spessartite garnet I just got, because you're sold out. Just let me say it really might be mistaken for a ruby at first glance!"

"i bought this stone when it first came out (it was another item # though but same size and carat weight) and set it into a ring. the color of the stone is not very well captured by the photo or description because it certainly isn't an "orange" stone. Apricot is more apt. it has peach and pink tones which "mix" into each other, esp. in those areas of the stone where you can see a "heatwave" effect. also it has more sparkle/lustre than a red garnet-- comparable to that of a spessartite garnet -- and pops even in low indoor lighting. the clarity is very good and my stone only contained a small inclusion upon 10x magnification on the back side. my upscale picky san francisco jeweler commented on how lovely the color was. it makes an elegant, eye catching solitare ring and the size is perfect even for small fingers. one of my favorite rings to wear everyday."
