    "The citrines and the white topaz are clear and brilliant. The design is fabulous except when worn they drop back because of the small backings in contrast to the weight of the gems. The stems for the backings are soft and easily bent if one is not careful. The backings should be improved into bigger ones."

    "These earrings are huge! I knew they would be large by the description, but I was still surprized by the actual size once they arrived. They gems are great quality as well. If you like your jewlery to stand out these are for you! The only con with these are that they are to heavy for the little backings that they come with. They will drop foward and look sloppy unless you wear a more substantial back. I am using the large clear round ones and it holds the earring in place very nicely."

    Due to its bright earth tones, Citrine is a popular stone for jewelry designers.
    Gloria Swanson and other great old film stars of Hollywood brought citrine to the public awareness in the late 30???s. She wore her own flamboyant citrine jewelry in her films. At that time, it was so unavailable to the general population, that it cost a fortune. Today we can have the same beautiful stones very affordably.
    Citrine enjoys a reputation for being usually clean--naturally not included.




    Citrine is a quartz crystal. While its name refers to a lemon yellow color, citrine can be found in a range of yellows from light yellow to dark yellow and golden brown. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, citrine is 7. Sources include Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Argentina, Burma (Myanmar), Namibia, Russia, Scotland and Spain.
