Product Description for Min .65ct 7x7mm Trillion Tanzanite-TCT7002

Tanzanite was discovered in 1967. It has a unique violet-blue to blue color that only Ceylon sapphire and iolite come close to matching, with red-violet flashes. Tanzanite ranks a respectable 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs' scale, but loose stones and jewelry like rings and bracelets need to be treated with care to prevent damage. Tanzanite is only found in one place in the world, Tanzania, and the continued availability of tanzanite is uncertain, which increases its rarity and its price.

"The color of the tanzanite on the air seemed to be much better quality than received. Returned it when compared to other I have of the same size, was not of the same quality even though rated higher by the commentators on the channel. Have been a member for many years and bought many items in the thousands. Lately, I have been disappointed with some purchases especially the alexandrite I purchased for Christams and returned. Just returned the replacement for color change -very poor."

"My first Tanzanite trillion. Slightly lighter than expected, but nicely cut. It would have been a keeper, but this stone has a visible scratch on the "face". So sad... I have a round and an oval Tanzanites and both are very nice. Most likely the trillion will go back."
