"Purchased as a pinky ring to complement the several other rings I have in Spessartite Garnet. Stones look good and I like the bit of sunshine it gives back to me. The only thing that could have made it better would have been for it to be about 20 dollars cheaper."

"The ring came to me promptly and I even had it sized which takes longer. I was very pleased with the service, however the color of the stones was much lighter and less sparkle then appeared on the internet. It doesn't show up against my skin tone. I was a bit disappointed."

Spessartite is a rare garnet ranging from a yellowish-orange to an intense fiery orange known as mandarin garnet.




Spessartite is a brilliant transparent gemstone. The colors of spessartite garnets can range from a bright vibrant orange to a deep red-orange color, and even some brownish and greenish oranges. Spessartite was once just a collector's gem but moved into mainstream gemology in the 1990s. Spessartite is 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs' scale of hardness and, like all garnet, is untreated, so the beautiful color that you see is strictly as nature created it.
