"I was very disappointed. It had very little weight to it. The stones looked OK but I'm afraid this one is going back to you."

"Hi, I just got it this morning.Well, as for silver -it looks just like white gold, the design is awesome - looks very expensive decorative jewelery...it has a weight to it, but not heavy -just right. As for diamonds - You know how many i found????----only one - amazing!!! -just one and it is not even transparent !!!!!! But the fabulous design and the shape and how great it lays on my neck make me disregard the diamond misrepresentation. So it is a keeper, though next time i will buy....i will take a double look.I am out to play with this fab necklace!:)"

Fast Facts
| The origin of the name could be from the ancient Topasos Islands near Greece. |
| Topaz can be very costly and rare when they occur naturally in unusual colors. All colors have been a popular choice for jewelry since European royalty started collecting gemstones. |
| Europeans preferred colorless Topaz as a substitute for diamond when those stones were unavailable. The reason was because it was often available in excellent clarity rough and took a beautiful high polish. |
Topaz is the birthstone of December. |
|
Topaz is a gemstone found in vivid colors. Exhibiting a wide range of colors, it appears as yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark blue, pink-red, red, violet, light green, colorless and in unusual colors such as mystic, ocean, glacier, patriot, canary, champagne, orchid, dawn, teal and kiwi. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, it is 8. Topaz has a vitreous luster and sources include Brazil (Minas Gerais), Afghanistan, Australia, Burma (Myanmar), China, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia (Urals, Transbaikalia), Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and the United States.
