Product Description for Min 1.25ct 9x7mm Cushion Morganite

Morganite was named after J.P. Morgan in honor of his gem and mineral contributions to the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Discovered in the early 1900s, morganite ranges in color from pink to peach and can fade if exposed to sunlight for a prolonged period of time. Generally larger stones are the darkest, so they are preferred. Morganite is a durable gem, ranking 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs' scale, but it can crack internally if treated roughly.

"I was hoping for a little bit more color. Nice color but not the best! I am still going to keep it as this my first morganite. I will hope for a better one next time."

"I have several pieces of Morganite and this one is surely my favorite! It is a true pink, soft in its color and yet no room for doubt that it is a baby pink. Some Morganite that I have seen is so washed out that it is hard to see its pink color, or much has a peachy undertone--but not this stone. I am wowed by this Brazilian material, and so glad to have some since the mine in Brazil was flooded so long ago! I had about given up hope of getting any of this Brazilian material. Thanks JTV!!!"

"I bought 8 of these and I am going back for more! Even though the carat weight isn't large, there is no loss of color..believe me!! I have quite a few of the Madagascar Morganite stones, and not any of them..right down to the .50ct. trillions that I have, are lacking in depth of color or divine clarity...add this to your collection if you can, and before I buy them all up....or try to anyway..you won't be dissappointed, honestly. Thanks"
