Product Description for Min .75ct 8x6mm Cushion Cut MorganiteMorganite was named after J.P. Morgan in honor of his gem and mineral contributions to the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Discovered in the early 1900s, morganite ranges in color from pink to peach and can fade if exposed to sunlight for a prolonged period of time. Generally larger stones are the darkest, so they are preferred. Morganite is a durable gem, ranking 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs' scale, but it can crack internally if treated roughly.

"I just received my morganite gemstone today and it really has a beautiful sparkle to it but the color was very pale pink and does not quite match my other stones that I purchased . It is still a beautiful piece and I am going to mount it in to make myself a pendant which I purchase from JTV so I will just be snapping it in place and I will be ready to wear it."
