"I received this ring after a long decision to buy it. What a disappointment. The stone looks of real good color on the TV Show and on the internet. But when received the stone is of poor quality and certainly is not what I was expecting. The stone sits way to high on the setting and could easily "break off". I think the ring looks cheap and and am sending it back and am going to try again. Hopefully I will have better luck next time."

"I just absolutely love my ring!
I had ordered a loose tanzanite a while back, and was a little bit disappointed with the the color. It was lighter than it showed on t.v. So, I was a little bit hesitant about ordering this ring, but figured what do I have to lose. If I don't like it, then I'll return it. Well, I definitely won't be returning this ring. I just love it! It exceeded my expectations. The Tanzanite in this ring is much darker than the loose one I had ordered. This is a simple yet elegant ring. My only one minor complaint is that I thought the would be a little heavier."

"This ring looks good on TV but not when you get it! It looks cheap and the Tanz is not BLUE. This ring is a good way to throw a way your money! I have A TANZ ring that I paid 99.99 for and the color is the same as the one that is 499.99!!! Sorry JTV you have lost me I want ever pay a TANZ ring again!!"

The mineral zoisite was discovered around 1805 in the Austrian area by a Baron for whom it was named. It was usually brown in color, often nearly opaque.
The discovery by accident of the tanzanite version, in the late 1960's was a great surprise in Tanzania Africa, where it was first thought to be sapphire crystals.
The name Tanzanite was coined by Tiffany who had first and exclusive rights to the pretty blue violet mineral for many years.
Wearing a well-cut Tanzanite communicates self-confidence, individuality, and maturity.
Its brilliant color and its exclusive origin in Tanzania combine to make Tanzanite a unique and highly sought after gemstone.




Tanzanite is a variety of zoisite. It has naturally occurring shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, brown and khaki but virtually all gemstone quality crystals are heat treated to produce the highly valued shades of sapphire blue, amethyst and blue violet. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, tanzanite is 6.5-7. The prime source of all the world’s tanzanite is in Tanzania near Arusha.
