This wide-ranging group of gems covers virtually any color and is found all around the world. Commonly, garnets are found in shades of red, purplish-red, and green. Some garnets possess color-change ability like rare alexandrite.

    "I've been trying to collect varieties of garnet on a rather strict budget,and so the main reason I picked this one was the price.The picture did not make it look like a beautiful example of Almandite but when I received it I was pleasantly surprised-gorgeous color & clarity,good work JTV!"
