"This ring, although very pretty and reasonably priced, is not what I expected. The "blue" in the blue topaz is completely missing. All the stones are pretty much the same color and the center large blue topaz has so little blue in it that I can barely see a hint of blue, and the other stones, which I believe are also blue topaz, have the same hint of blue in them. I'm fine with the smaller stones not having much blue, but I expected the larger stone to actually be a darker blue. The color is nothing like the photo on the website. I am returning it today."

"If you are in the market for a bold piece of jewelry then this is the ring for you. It has a remarkable sparkle effect, and how could it not, with all of these gorgeous stones. The center stone is large at 10 x 8mm but not too large that it would appear fake. Candlelight, lamplight, flourescent light and sunshine all have the refractive effect on this ring. The photo doesn't do it justice."

Fast Facts
| The origin of the name could be from the ancient Topasos Islands near Greece. |
| Topaz can be very costly and rare when they occur naturally in unusual colors. All colors have been a popular choice for jewelry since European royalty started collecting gemstones. |
| Europeans preferred colorless Topaz as a substitute for diamond when those stones were unavailable. The reason was because it was often available in excellent clarity rough and took a beautiful high polish. |
Topaz is the birthstone of December. |
