    "Because I had read several reviews of how many problems folks were having with this casting, I decided to try different types. Fortunately, I had the same success setting them all. My technique is to place the gemstone on the casting and use a pair of blunt gemstone pliers to sqeeze the prongs onto the gem. I squeeze in a criss cross fashion then I clamp down each prong to totally secure the fit. Pictured is a rutilated cabachon quartz I received in a mix gemstone parcel hung on a very thick sterling silver baby box chain. None of my pendants have required glue. However, I have not had the same success when setting cabachon earrings..see all my reviews for review. I wanted to make a pair of black star diopside earrings to match a pendant I had made and just could not get it to work. It was truly a bummer! If I could have one wish concerning the cabachon castings it would be that they came in 10 or 14 karat yellow gold. I think this pendant would have been awesome in yellow gold."
