This wide-ranging group of gems covers virtually any color and is found all around the world. Commonly, garnets are found in shades of red, purplish-red, and green. Some garnets possess color-change ability like rare alexandrite.

    "This garnet has good cut and clarity but there is no dramatic color change . The one on JTV had strong color change so maybe I just got a dud. It does have a lot of sparkle due to the trillion cut so I will keep it."
