"I have always wanted a solitaire Iolite ring. A TRUE Iolite. This ring is exactly that. Large enough to make a statement with out being obtrusive. The stone is a deep clear blue with lots of violet undertones. The cut of this stone is phenomenal. If you look into the center of this lovely indigo stone you can see a snowflake design. It is not purple like a true Tanzanite. Nor is it an opaque dark blue of a sapphire. It is a TRUE clear indigo color as an Iolite should be. This ring has a very classic setting, & a beautiful one at that. This ring is a timeless piece. The coolness of the white gold does not hinder the color of the Iolite, but rather adds contrast which stand out even more. I was so pleasantly pleased with this ring that I did not hesitate to purchase the solitaire pendant and earrings. If you are looking for a true piece of Iolite. This is your ring. If you are looking for something that mimics Tanzinite or sapphire, buy Tanzinite or Sapphire. Personally, I think anyone will be very pleased with this purchase."
