"I purchased this as a gift for my dear sister and her family on Cinco de Mayo thanks to thoughtful host Angie who celebrated the day! The beautiful sun tea light candle, sent along with the traditional Mexican folktale: La mujer que brillaba aún más que el sol / The Woman Who Outshone the Sun, made a neat family gift that everyone liked. The folktale tells the story of a woman dazzling like the sun with goodwill who becomes the target of hatred & fear by the villagers who run her away only to find the river has gone with her. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, agate is 6.5-7. It has a waxy or dull luster and primary sources include South of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), north of Uruguay, Australia (Queensland), China, India, the Caucasus, Madagascar, Mexico, Mongolia, Namibia, Wyoming, and Montana.
