"I am very pleased with this purchase. As with the other reviewers, when I got it some of the smaller stones had chipped--JTV should maybe pack this one with a bit more cushion--but honestly, you could not tell and the minor chips in no way detracted from the unique and stunning appearance of the necklace. As previous reviewers noted, this is a bold piece (although not overly so), and I just love how it looks with a simple shirt. The colors are true to the photo and just great for spring/summer/fall, and I expect to get a lot of use out of this piece. Another great buy from JTV."

"I'm a great fan of "passalongs." Very often we buy or receive an item that's perfectly good, but just doesn't thrill us. No problem; if you have a circle of friends and relatives who love jewelry, too, just pass it along to someone who'll cherish it. That's how I got this super necklace. The lady who'd gotten it found it too heavy and chunky for her taste, but knows I love big, showy pieces. The turquoise, aquamarine, and amazonite work beautifully together, and I have several pieces in this combo. I did have to do some work on the clasp; it was just too small for it to be easy for me to manipulate. Second review submitted."

Lore
Ancient sailors traveled with aquamarine crystals, believing that it would insure a safe passage, and often slept with the stones under their pillow to insure sound sleep. They believed the siren’s (mermaid) fish-like lower body was made of aquamarine.
