"Nice little magnifier for the price, the best part being that it is hands free, and free-standing, and anything, gemstones, stamps, coins, etc. can be examined without having to fumble around with the object and tweezers in one hand and a loupe in the other, and either trying to hold a small flashlight in your teeth, or having to get up and get under a lamp if one is not near. Also has a MM gauge. The light is bright enough to see things moderately well, although you need to remember that it is a 5X magnifer, not 10X, like a jewelers loupe. The battery compartment is easy to get to when replacing the button battery , with just a small phillips screwdriver needed. I need to buy another of these, since they are very compact and can easily be carried in a purse or pocket when traveling, and keep one for home use. Thanks, JTV, for a nice little item."
