Not Great..., November 16, 2008

"I read the other reviews on this ring so I knew I would be getting a ring with lighter stones, but they were even lighter than I expected (near clear, ever so light lavendar tint). The over all quality looked much better in the picures so I thought I would at least have that, but when it arrived I was so disappointed. It was much lighter in weight, color and quality. The criss-cross design is fun but the diamonds in them have no sparkle. I would have returned the ring had I not had it re-sized. While this one didn't work for me, I have been very pleased with all my other purchases at JTV."

Not Bad - But Not Great!, October 8, 2008

"This ring arrived at my door last evening. While I was not expecting any kind of deep blue or expensive color of tanzanite, I was hoping for at least a pale lavender blue. When I opened the box I was faced with nearly clear stones with a faint tint of puple/pink. While the tanzanites are extremely disappointing, I must say there is a substanital amount of gold and the diamonds sparkle to a point they almost make up for the washed out, nearly clear tanzanites. I may keep this ring just because of the sparkle, I may not. If you are looking for even a light lavender blue and want color in a tanzanite - pass this one up!"

"The tanzanite stones are very light. It shows much darker in the pictures. I wanted the darker stone which indicates a good guality tanzanite stone.
thank-you for really asking for my opinion."
