"This is a great gemstone to add to your collection, if you like BIG! Mine almost weighed out to be 27 carats! Good cut and it does look allot like the pictured gemstone. Great value for the price!!!"

"Rutilated quartz is absolutely one of my favorite stones. I am always looking at the site and debating whether or not to take the plunge. The reviews on this stone were medicore so I didn't buy. Then I saw it on TV. It looked like what I was looking for. I looked at the site again. The picture was as nice as the stone on TV. So I ordered it. I am not very happy with it. It is cloudy in places. It has a spot that looks like rusty iron ore. Not the prettiest stone I have seen from JTV. However it is still a cool looking stone so I will probably keep it. I just won't use it for jewelry."

"I have previously bought several rutilated quartz and returned them because the rutiles couldn't hardly be seen without a loupe. This beauty is full of gorgeous rutiles that jump out of the crystal clear quartz. A great stone!"

"This type of stone varies a lot from stone to stone; that's expected. (I usually pass on them.) The on-air host said the stones in this lot were especially "clean" and clear, so I gave it a try.
The stone I received was NOT clear, but filled with inclusions, hiding most of the rutile needles -- which is the whole point of the stone. You may get lucky, but it's a nuisance when you pay for shipping both ways and end up with nothing. JTV is good about prompt refunds, though.
Good luck, but be prepared to make a return if you give it a try."
